As I health coach, I have discussed almost every topic you can imagine with my clients. One topic that came up with everyone was the subject of healthy poop. I am not sure why we shy away from this so much because elimination is so important to good health. Well, this was not my preference or experience with clients. I found that when people pooped at least once each day, they felt better and just did better overall. So what does your poop look like? How often do you go and how long does it take?
Knowing your poop is knowing your health in most instances, so although it may be a delicate subject, it is one which needs a little more light shed on it. So, with this is mind, I bring you five things you may encounter when you remove animal products from your life and go vegan. For many, a diet heavy in animal products can have serious consequences when it comes to their digestion. Not going to the bathroom regularly enough can cause all sorts of problems, so increased bowel movements on a vegan diet should be welcomed…even if they can be a little inconvenient at times. While most people will fall into the bracket above and see an increase, a certain percentage of new vegans will find that they visit the bathroom less often when they first transition.
